HMBYC invites women of all ages and sailing experience to join in the Club’s Women Sailing Program. You can benefit from regular monthly meetings at the Clubhouse as well as numerous on-the-water events, all designed to enhance your sailing skills. Contact wsmanager@hmbyc.org for more information.
GIRLS SAILING SCHOLARSHIPS
The Women Sailing Group of Half Moon Bay Yacht Club is committed to the education and empowerment of girls through sailing and the enhancement of their enjoyment of sailing.
To this end, Women Sailing is pleased to once again offer the Claire Borkert Sailing Scholarship for Girls during the 2013 Youth Sailing Camp. This entitles the awardees to enroll at no cost (the camp fee is paid for by the scholarship) and learn to sail for one week during the summer. The scholarships will be awarded courtesy of the HMBYC Women Sailing Group. Scholarships may be awarded to members and non-members without regard to financial ability, ethnic or religious orientation. Girls from the ages of 8 through 18 are eligible. Entries can be emailed to wsmanager@hmbyc.org , or mailed to PO BOx 52, El Granada, CA 94018 no later than May 13th. Judging will take place during the first week in June and successful applicants will be notified.
