Sailing With HMBYC
While many HMBYC members own boats, it is not a prerequisite for joining the Club or enjoying sailing. The club owns a fleet of Cal20s, a seaworthy, safe and easily managed vessel that is available to members. All one needs to do is learn the basics of sailing in adult sail training classes offered by the Club and get checked out by one of several senior Club sailors. There is no additional cost beyond ordinary annual dues. Other boats, such as Lasers, Coronado 15s and kayaks are also available to cheecked-out members. Sailing of Club boats is permitted only within the confines of Pillar Point Harbor.
