Regulations
GENERAL:
The facilities of the yacht Club are maintained for the
convenience and use of the membership. All regular Club members
in good standing may make use of the facilities at any time, subject
to the restrictions hereinafter set forth.
CONDUCT:
Members are responsible for their conduct and the conduct
of their families and guests and shall be held responsible for
any damage to the Club resulting from their actions. With the
exception of Junior members, no minors shall be permitted on the
yacht Club premises unless an adult member responsible for the
minor is also present. Members and guests shall at all times conduct
themselves in a manner which shall not be offensive to other persons
in the facility and consistent with generally accepted standards
of conduct in public places.
GUESTS:
Guests of members may use the Club facilities only when
accompanied by a sponsoring member. Upon entering the Club premises
guests must sign the guest register and provide their name, address
and Club affiliation.
VISITING YACHTSPERSONS:
Visiting yachtspersons who are members of accredited yacht
Clubs shall be allowed the privileges and facilities of the Club
at the discretion of the Port Captain or the Watch Officer. Visiting
yachtspersons shall sign the guest register and provide their
name, address and Club affiliation.
REMOVAL OF CLUB PROPERTY:
Club supplies and equipment are intended for use in Club
related activities only. These may not be removed from the premises
or utilized for any other purpose.
CLUB COMMUNICATIONS:
No stationary bearing the Club letterhead or burgee shall
be used except as approved by the Board of Directors. Club stationary
shall be used only for official Club business as determined by
the Board of Directors. No commercial or promotional use may be
made of the Half Moon Bay Yacht Club name, the Club burgee or
the membership roster except as authorized by the Board of Directors
for the benefit of the Club.
LOST OR DAMAGED PROPERTY:
The Half Moon Bay Yacht Club shall not be held liable for
losses resulting from loss, theft or damage of personal property
belonging to individuals or groups utilizing the Club premises
or participating in Club functions.
BULLETIN BOARD:
All notices placed on the Club bulletin board must be dated
and signed by the person posting the notice. Notices unsigned
or more than 30 days old shall be removed. All notices are subject
to review by the Club Secretary.
WATCH OFFICER:
For all Club functions, there will be a Director or a Watch
Officer (designated by the Director) present. A Watch officer
must be a member in good standing.
