Each month this list is alphabetically derived from those current members who previously indicated their choice to be available for hospitality help at the Club. Members are eligible to receive a maximum of two $15 credits per quarter towards their dues after hospitality is served and as verified in writing by the Watch Officer (WO) on their report. If members are unavailable to serve their hospitality assignments then credits are not issued. As HMBYC is a volunteer-based organization, members never receive any cash compensation from the Club's funds for their hospitality assignments. On Friday evenings hospitality generally means some kitchen help to assist the WO or guest chef, bringing in glassware from the deck, etc. since we hire a bartender on these nights. On Saturdays and Sundays, hospitality help may require some bartending, minor kitchen cleanup or other assistance as designated by the WO. Please note that if the assigned dates are inconvenient, members are free to trade days with other members on the list and to please notify the WO and Schedule Officer.

We have many members who elect to volunteer their time at other times such as bartending or cooking for Club events or members' private parties, pouring wine at the Dream Machines' wine booth, transportation, database and website maintenance, teaching classes, facilities repairs, boatyard cleanup, helping at the Pumpkin Festival calamari booth, fleet maintenance, racing events, decorating the Club for holiday or children's parties, etc. - the list is really endless! Membership credits are not applied for these activities and members never receive any free meals, drinks, special dues credits, subscriptions, cash or other financial compensation from the Club's funds for any of these voluntary efforts in which they choose to participate.

The Events Planning Committee (EPC) was appointed by the Board with the authority to establish and apply Club appropriate expenses for all dinners, special events and races. The EPC is comprised of the Treasurer, Port Captain, Rear Commodore and Schedule Officer/Event Coordinator.
For all race fees and special event dinners at HMBYC, an operational cost per person shall be established by the EPC, based on actual costs, and added to each race entrance fee and dinner price. The Event Cost will vary since each event may have disparate expenses and expected number of people.
All checks for meals and race fees will be mailed to HMBYC. The bookkeeper will put these checks inside a locked cash cabinet. The Rear Commodore (RC) will record and deposit these checks. The RC will submit signed receipts for trophies or other race-related incidentals within 30 days for reimbursement per Club policy.
For special events, all meals will require advance payments by an established deadline. The meal prices will be determined in advance by the EPC, depending on who is providing the food service, i.e. outside caterer or provided by Club volunteers. The RC or delegate will advise the Event Coordinator of an estimated head count 7 (seven) days in advance for all meals for each regatta or special dinner or race. A final count will be needed on the Wednesday before each Saturday dinner so the respective chefs know many people need meals.
